“Dr. Abeyewardene inspires a great deal of confidence in the way he communicates with me. I have had a great deal of concern about my injury. I have a partially de-gloved finger from an accident with a very sharp implement. When I drove to the first ER, I was told that they didn’t have the equipment or experience to treat me appropriately. The ER physician at Jupiter Medical Center told me he knew an exceptional hand surgeon and would call him to meet me at St Mary’s ER. He called him Dr. Dilhan. At St Mary’s ER I met Dr. Dilhan Abeyewardene. At this point, I was admittedly scared about losing my finger. Dr. Abeyewardene was quick to assure me that he was the best at what he did and would not let that happen. He spoke to me in a way that put me at ease. I’ve seen him for follow-ups in preparation for surgery to graft skin over the site. I feel confident that it will go smoothly. If I ever have the misfortune to injure myself again I will seek help from Dr. Abeyewardene or other appropriate doctors from Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute.”
