“Dr. Oros performed left hip replacement surgery almost a year ago. I had my other hip replaced ten years ago by another surgeon in Florida, and he really messed it up. Needless to say, I was very nervous about having another hip surgery. My hip surgery with Dr. Oros was a phenomenal experience. Within four weeks, I was walking without a walker or cane. I continue to have no problems at all with it. I'm so thankful for his expertise.”

Shoulder Reviews

“Dr. Oros is absolutely fantastic. I was transferred to UT Hospital from another hospital due to a severely fractured humerus with a dislocated shoulder. Everyone who heard that Dr. Oros was my surgeon had excellent experiences with him. Numerous people told me he is the best, and I believe it. He is also down-to-earth, honest, and very friendly. As it turns out, he actually can and did put Humpty Dumpty back together again. :-)”

“I had a great experience with Dr. Oros. I found him to be very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. He took the time to be sure I understood everything. He was very patient and willing to discuss any questions or concerns I had during my office visits. My surgery and healing process went very well. I am so thankful to have my hip fixed and feeling better! I would not hesitate to recommend him or go back to him should I have any issues in the future.”

“From start to finish, my experience with Dr. Oros and his team have been awesome! In my initial diagnostic appointment and every subsequent interaction with University Orthopedic Surgeons and UT Hospital, I received prompt, focused attention on schedule from everyone involved. Dr. Oros expressed that he thought I needed bilateral hip replacements, and he opined that I could be a candidate for getting them both done at the same time. He was able to schedule the surgery for only 3 weeks after the first appointment...and now 6 weeks after the surgeries, here I am, pain-free and "mobile" after years of crippling arthritis. I am especially grateful that Dr. Oros decided that I could get both hips done at the same time. He was right....and he, with his team, executed flawlessly in my case.”

“Dr. Oros replaced both my hips seven weeks ago. I am thrilled with the results. I am free of pain, more reliable, and have better mobility than in years. It may sound cliche, but he has given me back my quality of life. Dr. Oros is not the first surgeon I met for the procedure, but after meeting him, he was my first choice. Dr. Oros speaks in plain English, and his attitude with a patient is fantastic. He is not at all condescending, and I never felt rushed. All of my questions got answered politely and respectfully. My surgery was a complete success. Dr. Oros did a total hip replacement of both my hips using the anterior method, and I was up walking within hours. I was walking without a walker in less than two weeks and walking over a mile a day within a couple more weeks. I cannot overemphasize how happy I am.”

“On August 11th, my journey with UOS started. I was 16 and had a car accident that resulted not only in many broken bones, but a broken heart in the loss of my best friend and cousin. I had a left hip and pelvic fracture. Dr. Oros was the surgeon who fixed me. I’ve been through several procedures and operations in the last almost 14 years. Every time I step foot in the office at UOS, I’m always made to feel like family. Dr. Oros had cried with me, laughed with me, and set me straight when it needed to get done. If it wasn’t for him and the staff at UOS, I can guarantee you my quality of life wouldn’t be what it is today. I had my final procedure with Dr. Oros on July 27th. I received my anterior total hip replacement for my original injured left hip. I have my life back with no pain and finally get to be the mother my two children deserve. Dr. Oros is one of a kind and has saved my life in more ways than he could imagine. I recommend him and UOS regularly. I wish there were enough words to tell you what you all mean to me, but they're just aren’t! You all are indeed angels.”

“I don't write many reviews, but am compelled to do so here. When I met Dr. Oros two years after falling out of a train in Germany, I was in abject agony. His compassionate and reasoned tone spoke to me -- and he walked me through the reasons why I needed to have both hip joints replaced at the same time. He immediately put me at ease, and I felt confident in the decision to proceed. I'm not going to lie -- the first few days after the procedures were a challenge, but the improvements to my life came rapidly: each day I regained an ability I had lost. My rapid recovery over the last month after surgery has astounded friends and colleagues. This fifty-something man now feels like a thirty-something. I was walking without a cane 8 days after surgery, and now am looking for a yoga class - one month and a few days after surgery. One song keeps coming to mind now, and I'm sure Alexa (and my neighbors) are tired of it playing at my house: it's "Feeling Good" and sung by Nina Simone, "It's a new dawn; it's a new day; it's a new life for me, and I'm feeling good!"”
