“After conducting extensive research, I concluded that Dr. Wendy Wong is my surgeon of choice for a total knee replacement. My initial appointment with Dr. Wong went well. She discussed the necessary procedure, and I felt very comfortable with her. Then she dropped the bombshell—I would have to lose at least 50 pounds prior to surgery. It has been quite a struggle, and I’m finally there. Dr. Wong was supportive along the way, and she quite literally jumped for joy when I met the goal. I have now started with pre-hab PT, and I will have my first total knee replacement in approximately 6 weeks. It appears that there is a shortage of physical therapists now, and Dr. Wong was able to refer me to an excellent one. By the way, taking off the weight is the right decision, and I am now better prepared for a successful surgery. I appreciate Dr. Wong insisting on the weight loss. ”
