“Dr. Simic did the surgery on both my hands. Then for my follow-ups, I saw PA's Heather and Alex. Both are very professional and knowledgeable. They are very helpful and understanding when I have questions about my treatment. Everybody at the facility is so nice, courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful.”

“I was highly recommended to Dr. Simic, and I now know why as he and the entire team at SCOI have been exceptional. I originally fell in a bike race 10 years ago in WI, resulting in a multiple distal fracture in my right wrist. I had a t-plate, and 7 screws at the base of my right wrist and forearm put in place as emergency surgery. Unbeknownst to me, the 2 main tendons to my right index had been rubbing and eventually fraying against the hardware over the years. This caused a noticeable loss of strength and movement in my right index finger earlier this year. Dr. Simic removed all the hardware, completed a tendon transfer to repair the 2 critical tendons to operate my index finger, and did a carpal tendon release. He and the team were extra thorough and cautious because of Covid-19 and because I am immune suppressed due to a kidney transplant. They worked closely with my transplant team to mitigate any risks. Now I start the slow recovery with the SCOI physical therapy team. I should also note the supporting team handling all the insurance paperwork are extremely responsive as the paperwork alone can be overwhelming. The care I received from the entire SCOI team has been excellent and reaffirms I made the right decision.”

“My fall happened on May 2nd, at which time I fell, landed on my left hand, and thought I had a bad sprain. On May 7th, I went into Urgent Care for X-rays and found I had a fracture of the left wrist. My healthcare physician, Dr. Standke, made an appointment for me with Dr. Simic for May 9th. I had immediate attention from the staff and was able to see Dr. Simic in a short time. At that time, Dr. Simic ordered more X-rays and reviewed the results with me. He sent me in to be cast with an appointment to return in 2 weeks. When I returned, I got seen by Alex Kaye, PA. It got requested that I get physical therapy. I used the physical therapy office, Community Center Physical Therapy in West Hills, as it is convenient to my home. On returning visits, I was evaluated by Alex with continuing care for approximately six months. I found everyone at the SCOI clinic in Thousand Oaks to be very punctual, considerate, and pleasant.”
