“I was very nervous when I went into the clinic; this was the first time I had ever been injured. Dr. Kadrmas and the staff were wonderful and took the time to explain my injuries and the options that I had to choose from. I went to the S. Dakota office and had my surgery done there. The staff was amazing as I was having anxiety and could not have anyone with me due to the Covid restrictions. They made me feel comfortable, explained everything that they were going to do, and really helped me calm myself. All of the visits I had after surgery were in the Gillette office, and again Dr. Kadrmas and the staff there did an amazing job making sure all my needs were met with physical therapy and any other questions that I may have. “After nine months of pain and physical therapy, because Medicare thought that would be the answer, Dr. Kadrmas looked over the MRI and discovered that my bicep got disconnected with my rotator cuff in my left shoulder. He said he could do surgery and fix that, and while he was in there, he would look for any other problems. He discovered that I did have a torn rotator cuff and repaired all of the issues. I had almost immediate relief from the pain I had been experiencing. After surgery, my left shoulder got immobilized for a few weeks, and then gradually, physical therapy helped me regain full pain-free use of my shoulder. I have no pain now and have been fully discharged four months after surgery. Usually, it takes six months. I am 74 and type 1 insulin-dependent diabetic. So this quick recovery was especially unusual. I give Dr. Kadrmas and Larry in physical therapy full credit for my swift recovery. Fantastic care and friendly people. Thank you, everyone. During this time, I also saw Dr. Woodruff for lower back pain, and he was able to give me some relief through cortisone injections in my back. He, too, gave me excellent service.”
